Groom Law Group is seeking summer associates to join our Washington, D.C. office. Our 10-week summer program exposes students to our five main practice areas: Litigation, Health, Policy, Fiduciary, and Tax. Students will be able to work on assignments from all practice areas, allowing for a well-rounded summer experience. As a summer associate, you will participate fully in associate and firm life, drawing from the same pool of client work as full-time associates. In doing so, you will attain in-depth expertise working on cutting-edge, complex legal issues and help develop solutions for our clients.
Mentors will be assigned to guide you throughout the summer and allow for real-time feedback, just like a firm associate. Networking and relationship-building are also key to your summer experience. Summer associates will participate in practice group meetings, formal training programs, lunches and social events with Groom attorneys to build strong and lasting connections within the firm.
To apply, please submit your resume, transcripts, and a brief writing sample. Undergraduate transcripts and law school transcripts are required. Students will need to provide their first semester fall grades as a supplement once available. Cover letters are optional, but encouraged. In your cover letter, please detail which of our practice areas are of interest to you and why.
